Mullen Sr. of 1223 Bunsen Court, a native of Norfolk and the husband of Mrs. Thelma Mullen, died Friday in his home. He was the son of Mrs. Naomi Outlear. He was a retired, 33-year employe of the Naval Supply Center and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. John's AME Zion Church, Eureka Lodge, and the Bachelors of Benedict Social and Beneficial Association. Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Sandra Young, Mrs. Brenda Seadrow, Miss Terry Mullen, Miss Naomi Mullen, and Miss Francita Mullen; and two sons, Bernard L. Mullen Jr. and Alvin Mullen, all of Norfolk; and eight grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in St. John's AME Church by the Rev. Walter C. Davis. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery, with Graves Funeral Home in charge. The family will assemble at his home.
