Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark June 23, 1932

Capt. Albert Munden, of 812 West Olney road, well known in local shipping 
circles, died last night at 6:10 o'clock at a local hospital after a brief 
illness.  He was 67 years old.
Captain Munden was a native of Beverley, N.J.  He had been a resident of Norfolk 
for the past 50 years and was a charter member of the Tidewater Council, Junior 
Order of American Mechanics, a member of the Marine Engineers Benefit 
Association No. 11 and of the Woodmen of the World.
He was the son of the late David and Mrs. Mary Francis Carroll Munden and is 
survived by his wife,Mrs. Flosstine Obrey Munden; two daughters, Mrs. J.V. 
Sawyer and Mrs. P.P. Wynne, Norfolk; three brothers, Charles Munden, Smithfield; 
Davis R. Munden, Elizabeth City, N.C.; Capt. H.G. Munden, Norfolk; one sister, 
Mrs. J.T. Ewell, Norfolk and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., 631 
Westover avenue, tomorrow.

1932, at 6:10 o'clock, CAPT. ALBERT OTIS MUNDEN, beloved husband of Mrs. 
Flosstine Obrey Munden, aged 67 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 
631 Westover avenue, THIS (Friday) AFTERNOON at 3:30 o'clock.  Friends of the 
family are invited to attend. Interment, Magnolia Cemetery.
