Munden, aged 68, son of David and Mrs. Mary Frances Munden, died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 12:10 o’clock after a long illness. A native of New Bern, N.C., he had made his home in Smithfield for the past 40 years. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Julia A. Ewell, of Weeksville, N.C.; two brothers, Capt. Horace G. Munden , of Norfolk, and D.R. Munden of Elizabeth City, N.C., and a number of nieces and nephews in Norfolk. Funeral services will take place from the Funeral Home of Paul B. Warren & Sons, 362 West Princess Anne Road, at 2 o’clock. The Rev. Garland Evans Hopkins, pastor of LeKees M.E. Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
