Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday March 19, 1939
Mrs. Nora Somes Murden, aged 63, wife of William J.L. Murden, a native and 
lifelong resident of Princess Anne County, died at her residence at Salem, 
Princess Anne County, yesterday morning at 1:30 o'clock after a long 
illness.  Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J.N. 
McClannan, of Princess Anne, two sons, D.O. South, of Princess Anne and H.A. 
South, of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Roy South, Nathaniel McClannan and 
Francis McClannan, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, 
Thirty-fifth street at Colonial avenue, this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the 
Rev. Percy D. White, pastor of the Salem Methodist Church, officiating.  
Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
