MURDEN - At the residence of his son, Albert A. Murden, 832 Rowland Avenue, 
Brambleton, Wednesday, December 16, 1908, at 8:30 p.m., WILLIAM F. MURDEN, 
in the 82d year of his age.  
Notice of funeral later.

The venerable Willliam F. Murden a well known and highly esteemed resident 
of Norfolk passed away at the home of his son, Albert A. Murden, 832 Rowland 
Avenue, Brambleton, at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday night, after a lingering 
illness in the 82d year of his age.  The deceased was born in Virginia and 
had resided in Norfolk for sixty years, where he followed the vocation of 
shoemaker.  He is survived by two sons and two daughters, one of the latter 
residing in New York, to whom a telegram has been sent and who will arrive 
here in time to attend the funeral, the time and place to be announced 
later.
