Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday April 5, 1952
Gavin Alexander Murdoch, 61, husband of Mrs. Mary Lilliston Murdoch and son of the 
late Joseph J. and Pauline Black Murdoch, died at the residence, 717 Hughes 
Street, yesterday at 7:30 a.m.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Anna Murdoch Wilson; a 
grandson, R. Cary Wilson, all of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. W.H. Burnette, of Roanoke 
and a brother, Joseph J. Murdoch, of Hartford, Conn.
Mr. Murdoch was a native of Roanoke and had been a resident of Norfolk for 40 
years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow at 
3:30 p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
