Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, August 17, 1996 
Robert Thomas Murphy, of 75 Wesley Ave., died Aug. 12, 1996, in a local hospital.

A native of Columbia County, Fla., Mr. Murphy was the widower of Betty Murphy.
He was a retired truck driver for Block Drum Company.

Survivors include five daughters, Rhonda Faison, Venita Long, Valerie Leggett,
Deborah Dawkins and Mary Richardson; eight sons, Robert Murphy Jr., Frank
Murphy, Gerald Murphy, Patrick Murphy, Kevin Yancey, Wendell Murphy, Rodney
Murphy, Shawn Murphy and Lornezo Broadway; two sisters; a brother; 25
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon Monday in Calvary Cemetery ,
Norfolk, by the Rev. Anthony Moses. Friends may join the family at the home of
Emma Eaton, 2025 Dawnee Brook Trail-N., Chesapeake, for a procession to the
gravesite. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
