Grace E. Murphy, widow of Charles E. Murphy, entered into eternal rest Jan. 5, 
2004, at the age of 88. She was a founding member of Episcopal Church of The 
Messiah.

She is survived by four children, C. Thomas Murphy and wife, Karen, of Germany, 
Forrest E. Murphy and wife, Carol, of Marshfield, Mass., Rose Marie Baker of 
Virginia Beach and Doreen Wilson of Chester, Va.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-
grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 16, 2004 at Thalia Lynn Baptist 
Church, 4392 Virginia Beach Blvd., at 10 a.m. Family will receive friends in the 
social hall after the service. Donations may be made to the Episcopal Church of 
The Messiah, 816 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
