Virginian-Pilot  July 22, 1961
NORFOLK – Mrs. Annie Quemener Murphy, 74, widow of William Hope Murphy and 
daughter of Joseph M. and Mrs. Georgianna Vick Quemener, died in her home, 4604 
Gosnold Ave., Friday at 7:30 a.m.
A native of Southampton County, she lived in this area most of her life. She was a 
member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Floyd I. Hoover, of Norfolk, and two 
grandchildren.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, where Rosary services will 
be recited Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 
a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
