Virginian-Pilot  December 27, 1912
The funeral of Mrs. Lena L. Murphy, who died in Baltimore, Monday, after a 
lingering illness of pneumonia, was held at the Sacred Heart Catholic church at 
2:30 p.m. yesterday. The interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery. She was a daughter 
of Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Taylor, and was a native of this city, where she leaves many 
friends, who loved and esteemed her for her many beautiful traits of character. 
Her mother was with her during her last hours on earth and accompanied her body 
here.
The following were the pallbearers: H. T. Minter, G. L. Cunningham, I.N. Arline, 
W. L. Mosley, E. Sanders.
