KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. - Mrs. Isabel1e G. Murphy, 75, died Friday in Bethesda 
Naval Hospital.
She was the widow of Maj. James L. Murphy and a daughter of Walter and Mrs. 
Julia McDuffie Gaylor.
She was a native of Point Caswell, N.C.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Hector C. McKnew Jr. of Newark, Ohio; a son, 
Kenneth V. M. Murphy of Ojai, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. M. G. Neigs of 
Jacksonville, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
The body was sent to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.

MURPHY, ISABELLE G. - At Bethesda Naval Hospital Friday, July 4, 1969, ISABELLE 
G. MURPHY, widow of Major James L. Murphy and a daughter of the late Walter and 
Mrs. Julia McDuffie Gaylor, in the 76th year of her age. A funeral service will 
be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, Tuesday, July 8, 1969, at 9 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends of the family are invited to 
attend.
