The Virginian Pilot Friday December 22, 1978
Norfolk - Mrs. Annie Murray, 63, of 4220 Bowdens Ferry Road, the wife of 
Alexander Murray and a retired beautician, died Wednesday at her home.

She was a native of Edenton, NC. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Eula Chatman and Mrs. Mary Guthrey, 
and a brother, John T. Evans Jr., all of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service, where a Christian Wake will be 
held Saturday night from 7:30 to 8:30. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Sunday 
at 1:15 p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Fr. Thomas Quinlan. 
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at her home.
