Virginian-Pilot July 21, 1907
Mrs. Mary Eleanor Murray, wife of Thomas Murray, died at her residence, 192 Brewer 
street, Friday evening in the 52d year of her age. The deceased was formerly of 
Baltimore but had been a resident of Norfolk for twenty years, where she was well-
known and highly esteemed. Besides her husband, she is survived by the following 
children: Vincent Emmett and Burk Murray, and Misses Margaret and Helen Murray. 
The funeral will be solemnized from the Sacred Heart Catholic church of which she 
was a member at 9 o’clock Monday morning.

Her tombstone shows her middle name as Ellen.
