NORFOLK - Giovanni Musiello, 68, of Grayfalcon Ct., Norfolk, passed away on 
Tuesday, August 6, 2013. He was the owner and operator of Franco's Italian 
Restaurant for over 28 years, and later, with his son, owned Franco's by the Bay 
Restaurant for over 13 years. Born in Palermo, Sicily, he was the son of the late 
Agatha Billi Musiello and Francesco Musiello. He was preceded in death by his 
sister, Mimma. He was a Roman Catholic and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. 
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 38 years, Diane O. Musiello; a 
daughter, Donna Maria Baker and her husband, Timothy of Chesapeake; a son, Franco 
P. Musiello of Norfolk; a sister, Angela Billi of Palermo, Sicily; three brothers, 
Pino, Carmello, and Rosario Musiello, all of Palermo, Sicily; three grandchildren, 
Giovanni F. Musiello, Vincent F. Baker, and T. Patrick Baker; many nieces and 
nephews, and friends who loved him dearly. His family would sincerely like to 
thank Gentiva Hospice, especially Caroline and Kerry for their wonderful care. A 
Christian Wake Service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 
St. Pius X Catholic Church, followed by a visitation until 9:00 p.m. The Mass of 
Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M.in the church with Father 
Nixon Negparanon officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church 
or Gentiva Hospice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk chapel is handling
