Pleasant Baptist Church. The Rev. D. Lawrence Williams officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the Southside Funeral Home for the son of the late Jacob Myrick and Mrs. Hattie Morris. Born in 1900 in Augusta, GA, Mr. Myrick was a retired Norfolk Naval Base worker. He was a member of Brotherly Love Church of God in Christ, and had lived in Norfolk since 1934. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Johnson Myrick; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Mary Johnson; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Anderson and Mrs. Willie Mae Myrick of Youngstown, OH; two brothers, William and Otha Myrick of Columbus, OH; an aunt, Mrs. Pearl Johnson, of Youngstown; and an uncle, Reuben Myrick of Columbus.
