David W. Myrick, 56, of 1926 Greenleaf drive, died Friday in a Norfolk hospital 
after a long illness.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Rufus and Mrs. Mary Myrick, the husband of 
Mrs. Elnora Myrick and was retired from J. C. Carroll and Co.

Besides his widow, surviving are two stepsons, Warren H. Jones and Robert L. 
Jones;  three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Whitfield, Mrs. W. M. Knight and Miss 
Thelma Hobbs, two brothers, Richard Myrick and John Myrick;  and a sister, Mrs. 
Willie Mae Taylor, all of Norfolk, and 14 grandchildren.

A funeral service was to be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home 
by the Rev. J. L. Kearney.
