 Mrs. Ida Sykes Nash, 79, Dies After Long Illness

Mrs. Ida Sykes Nash, 79, widow of Milton Lee Nash, died at her residence, 1819 
Montclair Avenue, shortly after 10 o'clock last night after an illness of 10 
months.
A lifelong resident of this area, Mrs. Nash was a daughter of the late Nathaniel 
M. and Phoebe Pritchard Sykes.
She had been a member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church for more than 50 
years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ida Lee Cooper and Mrs. W.M. Satterfield, 
both of Norfolk; a son, Milton Lee Nash, of Gatun, C.Z.; two sisters, Mrs. J.M. 
Lawrence, Sr. and Mrs. Eleanor S. Wilson; five grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren, all of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church Tuesday 
at 3:30 p.m. by Dr. Beecher L Rhodes.  Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, 
Berkley.
