Born March 9, 1919, in Norfolk to Clifford Earl and Louise Jordan Nash, he graduated from Norfolk schools and spent one year at The College of William & Mary. When World War II broke out, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps where he served as a pilot. After the war, he worked for Capital Airlines and then United Airlines. He married Virginia Cantwell in Orangeburg, S.C., in 1943. That happy union produced four children. After her death in 1978, he married Kathleen Doyle Segner with whom he shared many happy years. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; children, Barbara, Bill, Beverly and Bob; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
