Virginian-Pilot October 28, 1951
Mrs. Julia Thomas Nee, 78, widow of Walter Joseph Nee and daughter of the late 
John Thomas and Mrs. Missouri Herring Drewry, died yesterday at 7:45 a.m., at a 
Norfolk hospital. She was a native of Portsmouth and a lifelong resident of this 
section, residing at 9335 Buckman Avenue, Ocean View, at the time of her death.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. Burke Hickey, of Baltimore, and Mrs. W. O. 
Anderson, of Charlottesville; one son, Walter J. Nee, of Norfolk, and a sister, 
Mrs. John L. Holmes, of Crewe.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments tonight 
at 7:30 o’clock.
