Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, March 1, 1993 
Virginia Cowan Nelms, 88, of the 200 block of S. Newtown Road, a retired 
secretary, died Feb. 27, 1993, in Norfolk.

Miss Nelms was born in Norfolk. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church 
and was a graduate of Randolph Macon Womens College, Lynchburg.

Survivors include three nieces, Margaret Williams Brugh of Smithfield, 
Elizabeth Eichelberger Allen of Greensboro, S.C., and Barbara Nelms Haberthier 
of Coco Beach, Fla.; and a nephew, Edward B. Eichelberger of Hyde Park, N.Y.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Cemetery 
by the Rev. Kenneth E. Boyer and Dr. James H. Nowell. Hollomon-Brown Funeral 
Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the Knox Presbyterian Church.
