The Virginian Pilot November 28, 1961
 

Norfolk-Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) Burton Nelms, widow of Willie Lee Nelms and 
daughter of Edward J. and Mrs. Mary Patteson Burton, died in her home 409 W. 
38th St. Monday at 7:15 p.m.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. G.B. Eichelberger and Miss Virginia 
Nelms of Norfolk and Mrs. W.L. Williams of Princess Anne County; two sons, E.B. 
Nelms of Norfolk and W.L. Nelms of Buckroe Beach; four grandchildren and nine 
great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nelms was a native of Lynchburg and lived in Norfolk 64 years. She was a 
member of Park Place Methodist Church. 

The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Elmwood Cemetery for 
a funeral service to be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. James H. 
Allen of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro
