Nelson, who lost his life as a result of injuries sustained at the fire in Granby Street last Tuesday, took place yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the residence, 611 Ferguson Avenue, and was conducted by Rev. Warren H. Denison, of the Christian Memorial Temple. The funeral was largely attended, and there were many beautiful floral offerings. A delegation from the city fire department was in attendance. Among the flowers was a gate ajar design from the Norfolk fire department and a standing wreath from comrades of the deceased of No. 2 Fire Company. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, the pallbearers being W. W. Jones, P. T. Powers, J. H. Hamilton, T. P. Smith, R. Sykes and J. W Monroe.
