Saintclair Nelson, aged 21 years, died yesterday morning at 3:15 o'clock at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Gibbs, Arlington avenue, Campostella Heights, after a brief illness of Spanish influenza, which developed into double pneumonia. Mrs. Nelson was a native of Berkley, had lived here all of her life, and a more beautiful character is seldom found. She was married only six months ago. Her husband, Lieutenant Nelson, was called to the colors and was until lately stationed at Camp Lee. He came home only a few days ago suffering from influenza, with which many are afflicted at this time. He soon began improving and has sufficiently recovered to be out. Mrs. Nelson was an active member of Memorial Methodist Church and was also an active Red Cross worker. In addition to her husband and parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Gibbs, she is survived by a brother, Warner Gibbs, at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute. The funeral services will be conducted at the residence Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock and burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
