His funeral will take place from his late residence, FRIDAY MORNING at 10:30 o'clock. Friends and acquaintances invited to attend. ******************************************************************* Mr. Charles Nelson, a well known and aged citizen of Norfolk, died at his residence, No. 376 Church Street, yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Mr. Nelson was in the 71st year of his age and one of the oldest carriage makers in the city. His funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock from his late residence. Norfolk Virginian January 12, 1888 ****************************************************************** Funeral of Mr. Charles Nelson The funeral of this venerable gentleman took place from his late residence, No. 376 Church Street, yesterday at 10:30 a.m. and was largely attended. Rev. G.D. Armstrong, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased was one of the oldest members, conducted the funeral services, after which the remains were borne to Elmwood Cemetery and interred. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. John K. Barnes, F.F. Dozier, Wm. Graham, J.W. Whitehurst, Wm. Owens and Wm. Johnson.
