Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Church of the Ascension. Besides her husband, Thomas Jefferson Nelson, she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. W. H. Fowle, of Knoxville, Tenn.; Mrs. M. H. Gilbert, Mrs. J. R. Turner, Mrs. Lydia Freeman and Mrs. R. H. Copperthite, of Norfolk; one brother, E. J. Gillis, of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the above residence Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. John Fletcher Ward, rector of the Church of the Ascension, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
