Virginian-Pilot August 20, 1918
The funeral of Mrs. Ida Nelson, who died early yesterday morning at her residence 
on Bute street, will take place this morning at 11 o’clock. The services will be 
conducted at the Oliver funeral apartments on Freemason street. She was a native 
of Norfolk and 44 years of age at the time of her death. She is survived by a son, 
Lee G. Nelson, a brother, George B. Reade and two sisters, Mrs. Marcellus 
Smallwood and Mrs. Kate Utz, all of this city. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
cemetery.
