Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark August 21, 1926

Alton Earl Newbern, five-months-old son of D.F. and Mrs. Josephine Humphries 
Newbern, died at the residence, 110 Rowland avenue, yesterday morning at 4:20 
o'clock.
Funeral services will be held at the residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock, 
the Rev. J.T. Riddick, pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiating.  
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
