Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 17, 1940

Kenneth Franklin Newbern, Jr., aged 20 months, son of K.J. and Mrs. Norma 
Jones Newbern, of 928 Wilson road, Campostella, died yesterday afternoon at 
4:30 o'clock in a local hospital after a brief illness.  Besides his parents 
he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D.F. Newbern, of 
Brambleton and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Jones, of Berkley.  The 
body was removed to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, Ohio and Rodgers streets, 
South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 
2 o'clock.  Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
