Virginian Pilot June 13, 1985

Erma Louise Newby, 35, a native of Norfolk, died Sunday in her home at 710 
Reservoir Ave.
Miss Newby is survived by her father, William Newby, Sr.; a daughter, Kimberly 
Newby and two sons, Otis Newby and Charleston Newby, all of Virginia Beach; 
seven sisters, Jeanette Parham, Audrey Newby, Denice Newby, Theresa Newby, 
Patricia Newby, Dianne Newby and April Newby, all of Virginia Beach; and five 
brothers, Vernon Newby, William Newby, Jr., Isaac Newby and Nathian Newby, all 
of Norfolk, and Thomas Newby of Virginia Beach.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Twilight Funeral Home, Norfolk 
Chapel, by Elder Michelle Johnson.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.  The 
family will be at the Parham residence, 1636 Diamond Spring Road, Apartment 200, 
and will assemble there at noon Friday.
