Norfolk - Funeral service for Paul Newsome, who died suddenly at his residence
at 2724 Broad Creek road on Monday, will be held Sunday at 1:30 at New Calvary
Baptist Church.

The son of the late Amanda and Samuel Newsome, Mr. Newsome was born in North
Carolina.  For 25 years or more he worked as a brakeman for the Norfolk and
Western Railroad.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Blanche Newsome;  one son, Clifton Newsome,
New York City;  one daughter, Mrs. Fannie Bailey, Washington DC;  nine
grandchildren, one sister, one brother, a nephew, and a niece.

He was a member of New Calvary and the pastor, Elder Samuel A. Wilson, will have
charge of the funeral.
