Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, December 8, 1991 
Beatrice Davis Newsome, of the 2800 block of Fireside Road, died Dec. 5, 1991,
in a hospital.

Mrs. Newsome was born in Rocky Mount, N.C.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Newsome; nine daughters, Florence
Cooksey, Marie Carter, Carolnett Adams and Barbara Woodhouse, all of Virginia
Beach, Lenora Watlington, Gloria Reed and Amanda Owens, all of Chesapeake,
Frances Alexander of Houston and Patricia Cooper of Williamston, N.C.; seven
sons, James E. Newsome Jr., Ronnie Newsome, Melvin Newsome, Charles Newsome and
Walter Newsome, all of Chesapeake, Andrew Lundy Jr. of Hampton and Rudolph Lundy
of Norfolk; three sisters, Connie Caband and Lillie West, both of New York, and
Madaline Outlaw of Norfolk; two brothers, Howard Davis and Willie Davis, both of
Norfolk; 47 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Solid Rock Church of God in
Christ by Elder C. Ford. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join
the family at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
