NORFOLK - Mrs. Nellie Newsome of 613 Lant St., a native of Norfolk, died Sunday 
in a hospital.

She was a daughter of Earl Newsome Sr. and Mrs. Mearlena Turner Newsome. She was 
a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street.

Survivors also include a sister, Mrs. Barbara Peterson, and a brother, Earl 
Newsome Jr., both of Norfolk.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 
Bute Street, by the Rev. E. Paul Simms. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with 
Graves Funeral Home in charge.
