Virginian Pilot August 25, 1910

Mrs. Celestia M. Loyall Newton, widow of the late George Newton, died at her home, 
461 Freemason Street, Tuesday, after a long illness, in the 76th year of her age. 
The deceased was born in Norfolk and was one of its oldest residents and had a 
wide circle of friends who loved and esteemed her for her many beautiful and 
lovely traits of character. The funeral will be held privately from her late 
residence at 10 o'clock this morning. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
