Public Ledger, March 18, 1894
NEWTON - At her residence, No. 126 Granby Street, at 7:30 P.M. on Sunday, March 18th, MARGARET PORTER DARRAGH, widow of the late Dr. Thomas Newton.
Funeral at 12 o'clock on Tuesday, the 20th from the house.
Kindly omit flowers.

Norfolk Landmark, March 20, 1894
The many friends of Mrs. Margaret Newton, relict of the late Dr. Thomas Newton, will be sincerely grieved to learn of her death, which occurred at her late residence, on Granby Street, Sunday night. The deceased was a most estimable lady, who had by her lovely character and gracious mien endeared herself to a large circle of friends. The funeral will take place at 12 o'clock today from the residence.
