The Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 11, 1951
Funeral services for John Brockenbrough Newton, IV, son of John Brockenbrough 
Newton III, and Mrs. Anna Taylor Newton, who died Wednesday were conducted 
from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments yesterday at 2 p.m. by the Rt. Rev. 
George P. Gunn, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Southern Virginia, and the Rev. 
Norman T. Slater, rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Meadowbrook. 
Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
