Nichols of 1346 Reservoir Ave., a native of Norfolk and the widow of Jeffrey Napoleon Nichols, died Monday in a hospital. She was 100. Mrs. Nichols was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church and its Flowers Club. She was a 40-year member of the senior choir and an original member of the Voices by the Sea choral group. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a graduate of Norfolk Mission College. Survivors include two sons, Bernard A. Nichols of Norfolk and Robert Elmo Nichols of Chesapeake; 15 grandchildren, and 132 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in New Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Milton A. Reid. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Saturday.
