Nichols, local teacher who died at her home, 1724 Hunter street, Monday, July 19, at 6 p.m. will be held Sunday, July 25, at 1 p.m., at New Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. S.A. Wilson officiating. She had been ill for several months. A product of the Norfolk public schools, Miss Nichols was graduated from Virginia State College. She had taught in the city school system for more than 15 years, and was a member of the faculty of R.A. Tucher School when she died. Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Maggie Nichols; three brothers, Bernard, James, and R.E. Nichols; one sister, Mrs. Bernadine Williams; a grandmother, Mrs. Anna Sykes; and aunt, Miss D.E. Sykes, and many other relatives and friends.
