Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, December 24, 1997 
Fannie Newby Nichols, 85, of 7000 Auburn Ave., died Dec. 19, 1997, in her
residence.

A native of Norfolk, she was a housewife and a lifetime member of Macedonia
United Christian Church, Norfolk. She attended Booker T. Washington High School.

Survivors include her husband, Bernard A. Nichols; a son, Bernard Williams of
Gaithersburg, Md.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Macedonia United Christian Church,
1426 Marshall Ave., by Elder Wright. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery ,
Norfolk. Viewing will be today from 10 a.m until 6 p.m. Family and friends will
assemble at 11 a.m. Friday at 7000 Auburn Ave., Apt. 818, for the procession to
the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
