She was born in Columbus, Ga., and was an active Catholic all of her life. She was the widow of Michael A. Niegro. She was predeceased by her son, Michael A. Niegro Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Joan N. Flowers, of Virginia Beach, and Nancy N. Tharin, of Richmond; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Apostles, 1598 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity or to the Church of the Holy Apostles.
