NORFOLK — Mrs. Catherine Fiorini Niegro, 96, of 1322 Stockley Gardens, the widow 
of Frank Salvatore Niegro and daughter of Michael and Mrs. Julia Romano Fiorini, 
died Thursday at 2:10 p.m. in a hospital.
A native of Italy, she lived here 70 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church and its Sodality of the Blessed Virgin.
Surviving are five daughters. Miss Theresa Niegro, Miss Camilla Niegro, Mrs. 
Charles Atwood Welfare, Mrs. Sam A. Russo and Mrs. Frank L. Walton of Norfolk; 
two sons, Frank A. Niegro of Norfolk and Michael A. Niegro of Richmond; five 
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The Rosary will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8.
A funeral service will be held in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Saturday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
