Virginian-Pilot February 19 & 20, 1952
Salvatore Niegro, 84, husband of Mrs. Catherine Fiorini Niegro and son of John 
and Mrs. Theresa Yulo Niegro, died yesterday at 2:30 p.m. at Marion. He was a 
native of Italy and had been a resident of Norfolk for 60 years, residing at 702 
Redgate Avenue at the time of his death.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Samuel A. Russo, Mrs. 
Charles Atwood Welfare, Miss Camilla Niegro, Miss Theresa A. Niegro and Mrs. 
Frank Lee Walton, all of Norfolk; two sons, Frank Niegro, of Virginia Beach, and 
Michael Niegro, of Norfolk; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body will be brought to Norfolk and taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments.

NIEGRO, FRANK SALVATORE - Marion, Va., Monday, February 18, 1952, at 2:30 p.m., 
FRANK SALVATORE NIEGRO, husband of Mrs. Catherine Fiorini Niegro, and son of the 
late John and Mrs. Theresa Yulo Niegro, in the 85th year of his age. Remains 
will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, for services THURSDAY MORNING, at 10:30 o’clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
