RICHMOND - Michael A. Niegro, 69, of 8504 Ridge Road, retired general real 
estate agent of Seaboard Air Line Railroad, died Monday in a hospital.
He was born in Norfolk and lived there most of his life. He retired in 1967 
after 50 years with the railroad.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk.
He was the husband of Mrs. Marjorie King Niegro and a son of Salvatore and Mrs. 
Catherine F. Niegro.
Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Michael H. Niegro of Virginia Beach; two 
daughters, Mrs. Ronald A. Flowers of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Sidney B. Midgett 
of Norfolk; five sisters, Mrs. Samuel A. Russo, Miss Theresa Niegro, Mrs. Atwood 
C. Welfare, Miss Camilla Niegro, and Mrs. Frank Lee Walton of Norfolk; a 
brother, Frank A. Niegro of Norfolk; and seven grandchildren.
The Office of the Dead will be said tonight at 8 in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Oncology Research 
Fund, Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, in care of Dr. William Regelson, or 
to a charity.
