NIVEN Rosemont Resident Passed Away Yesterday Afternoon DUE TO HEART FAILURE Deceased Was a Well Known Farmer of Norfolk County -- Born in Scotland and Educated as a Physician -- Member of Berkley Presbyterian Church -- Leaves a Wife and Three Children Yesterday afternoon about 5 o'clock Mr. William N. Niven, of Rosemont, died very suddenly. He had been complaining for some time but was thought to be much better, until just before his death, which was due, it is thought, to heart failure. Mr. Niven was reared in Scotland and graduated at Edinburgh University, where he studied in the school of medicine. He came to this country soon after he left school, but never engaged in the practice of his profession. When he settled in this country he engaged in farming, which he followed until the time of his death. The deceased was held in the highest esteem by those who knew him, and was a man of sterling qualities He was a member of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church of this place. He was 57 years of age and is survived by his wife, who was a Miss Chapin, of New York State, two daughters, Misses Iona and Helen Niven, and one son, Mr. W. Glentworth Niven. The funeral arrangements will be announced later in these columns. ******************************************************************* The funeral services of the late Mr. William Niven, who died at his home, near Rosemont, Friday afternoon, will take place today from the home at 2 o'clock. The Rev. E.B. McCluer, pastor of Park Avenue Presbyterian Church, Brambleton, will conduct the services. The interment will be made in Magnolia Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Messrs. J.T. Parks, J.R. Hare, B. Gibson, Thomas Morrison, J DeBaun, John Blassingham, John Morrison and B. Rowland.
