Nevin, 80, widower of Mrs. Maude Blassingham Nevin, died Wednesday at 6:55 a.m. at his home 1214 Edgewood Ave. after an illness of one week. Born in Norfolk, son of William and Mrs. Emma Chapman Nevin, he had lived in the Portlock area for 71 years. He was a member of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church and an alumni of Berkley Military Institute. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harry E Steele and Mrs. Oliver D. Dailey of South Norfolk; one son, Lyman C. Nevin of South Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. R. A Wood and Mrs. L. C. Coston, both of South Norfolk; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The body was taken to Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk.
