Hurtubise, 19 Pendleton street, drowned last December 31 in the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River, was recovered yesterday morning floating at the foot of North Street, Portsmouth, five days after the recovery of young Thomas' body, which was found only a few hundred yards from where they were drowned together. The coroner ordered that the body be released to Funeral Director J.R. Williams for burial. The two boys were drowned when the small skiff in which they were crossing the river was overturned. The victims, together with William Coffield and George Corner, were thrown into the river, the latter two boys making their escape. The funeral of young Nixon will take place at the funeral parlors of J.R. Williams this morning at 10 o'clock, and the services will be conducted by Rev. L.F. Johnson, D.D., pastor of the First Christian Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
