Nixon, well known in Berkley, died yesterday morning at 10:40 o'clock, after a lingering illness of about a year of consumption He was about 29 years old, and left a grief stricken wife and two children to mourn their loss. For a number of years he was employed as a conductor on the Norfolk and Southern railroad, which position he very creditably filled until disabled by failing health. He was a highly respected member of Tidewater Council No. 30, Jr. O.U.A.M. and had a large number of friends, won by his affable disposition. The funeral will be conducted from the Main Street Christian Church this afternoon at 3 o'clock and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. Herbert Scholz will conduct the services.
