The Virginian-Pilot, Friday, August 4, 1961

NORFOLK - Mrs. Mamie Louise Nixon, 78, of 960 Albert Ave. died Thursday at 4 
p.m. in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wilhelmina N. Paige, 960 Albert Ave., 
after a long illness.

She was the widow of John Nixon and was born in Norfolk. She was a member of 
First Baptist Church, Bute Street.

Also, surviving are one son, Milton S. Nixon of Detroit; and two other 
daughters, Miss Elizabeth V. Nixon of Washington and Mrs. Robena V. Barnett of 
Norfolk.

The body was taken to Baker Funeral Home.

Additional Comments:
NORFOLK - A funeral service for Mrs. Mamie Louise Nixon of 920 Albert St., who 
died Thursday, will be held in Shiloh Baptist Church Sunday at 1 p.m. by the 
Rev. A.E. Johnson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with Baker Funeral Home 
in charge.
