Norfolk - G. Jerod Nixon, 53, of 245 W. 27th St., an employee five years of
Naples (Fla)Fruit Packing Farm, died May 7 in Naples.

A native of Chadbourne, NC, he was a World War II veteran and a Baptist.

Survivors include a brother, Joe D. Nixon of Norfolk.

A funeral service was held May 12 in Garden of Prayer Church on West 28th Street
by Elder Cornelius Purkett.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Twilight
Funeral Home in charge.
