Virginian-Pilot September 10 & 11, 1966
NORFOLK - Anthony Nocella, 76, of 4821 Dolphin Ave., the husband of Mrs. Alice 
Garrett Nocella and a son of Rocco and Mrs. Rose Nocella, died in a hospital, 
Friday at 10 p.m.
A native of Italy, he lived in Norfolk most of his life. He was a retired 
foreman with Finklestein Co., and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Josephine Coppersmith 
and Mrs. Alma Hurst of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Grace Hoggard of Norfolk, and Mrs. 
Betty Czmyr of Jewell City, Conn.; two sons, Rocco Nocella and Ralph Nocella of 
Norfolk; and three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Walters of New York City, Mrs. Lena 
Vaccaro of New Jersey, and Mrs. Mary Pinto of Long Island.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

NOCELLA, ANTHONY — At a local hospital, Friday, ANTHONY NOCELLA, husband of Mrs. 
Alice Garrett Nocella, and son of Rocco and Mrs. Rose Nocella, in the 77th year 
of his age. Remains will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. to Holy 
Trinity Catholic Church for services MONDAY at 10:00 a.m. Burial, Rosewood 
Memorial Cemetery. Rosary services in funeral home, SUNDAY, 7:30 p.m. Friends 
are invited.
