NORFOLK - Alphonse John Nolin, 65, of 3518 E. Ocean View Ave., manager of the 
recreation room at the Navy YMCA, died Wednesday at 3 a.m. in a hospital.
He was the husband of Mrs. Marie P. Nolin and a son of Alfred J. and Mrs. 
Atlaure Messier Nolin. A native of Hudson Falls, N.Y., he lived in Norfolk 30 
years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a former member of 
Knights of Columbus.
Besides his widow, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Frank Smith of 
Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Ira Taylor of Springfield and Mrs. Frank Huerta and Mrs. 
Peter Decker of Norfolk; a son, Alfred John Nolin of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. 
Harold H. Harris of Hudson Falls; four brothers, Ralph Nolin of Hudson Falls, 
Roland Nolin of York, Pa., and Marcel Nolin and Arcade Nolin of Hudson Falls; 
and 16 grandchildren.
The Rosary will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Friday at 7:30 
p.m.
A funeral service will be held in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Saturday at 9:30 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
